Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Loving every moment of this one.
Enthralling art and awesome storyline as usual, thanks Mike.
It’d be a slight bit of literary parallelism for the infected Abe to get put down by the weapon used by the friend he lost.
On a side note, the original monster was a giant mouth surrounded by leg tentacles. Magic-using Abe was stung in the eye and the growth seems focused around it. Origin of beholders perhaps?
I like the way you think.
It looks like Abe had been munching on Galen leftovers.
Yup. Charming.
So even infected and ravenous, Abe can recognize and use a weapon. Are we to assume that he has increased strength by his ability to wield it one-handed? Piper used two hands.
Jeez, let’s hope he hasn’t retained his spellcasting ability…
I love the use of limited colors in False Positive, but it comes across especially well in this one, I think.
Even if Abe is simply letting gravity drop that weapon, and Piper has some serious adrenaline going, that is still quite an impressive save (assuming the axe doesn’t slide down off the sword and into her thigh).
