Loosely inspired by a classic Barry Windsor-Smith X-Men Comic Book Cover. I’ve always been a fan of the punk-rock Mohawk version of Storm.

Kicking things off, here’s my take on some Batman art.
Batman imprinted on me at an early age. I had Batman coloring books and Batman Underoos. Some of my earliest memories of TV watching include re-runs of the live-action and animated Batman shows from the 60’s. And of course, later I grew up with the Batman comics, the newer animated shows and the movies. I have three Batman Black & White statues and an Alex Ross Kingdom Batman action figure on a shelf behind my work station right now.
I like Batman. I just don’t draw him very often.
I will share this on Patreon as a PDF print. I think I might color it later today, and put that up there at the same time.
And I’m opening the floor to suggestions for next week’s doodle.
What should I draw next?
Season 3 is in the can. Seven stories. Just shy of 150 pages.
I’m projecting False Positive will return with regular updates sometime in the mid-August to early-September range. I want to give myself enough time to regroup, scheme and try to set things up for a more regular posting schedule.
Between now and then, I’ll be making art and sharing some supplemental material.

Trying something new. Starting now, the selection of art in the False Positive Print Shop will periodically (Monthly? Monthly seems good.) rotate. These are professionally printed 11″ x 17 “ art prints with rich inks on heavy stock paper.
These prints can be used as decoration: Bring your drab walls to life with unique art sure to mystify your visitors.
These prints can also be used for gifts: Boost your geek cred by giving rare art swag to the most deserving members of your posse.
You could also use the prints for wrapping-paper or decoupage craft projects. The back of the prints could come in handy as durable parchment for writing anything from a detailed pronouncement of your group’s separation from British sovereignty to a Neo-Sicilian love sonnet.
I bet you could probably come up with a million other uses for these prints.

Packing up some prints and heading back out to Salt Lake City for the Fan-X 2016. We’re gonna try downsizing from a full booth to a couple tables in artist alley for the event.
