Mmmmm… Popped canine. Wait, that’s not the right monstrosity. Though there seems to have been an odd focus on eating things recently.

And then the remaining adventurers decapitated their former friend, and burned his body in the fire before anything else could go wrong.

given that the thing has grown, you’re assuming he still has an eye…

Wouldn’t it be fun if it was the dog eating chunks of overgrown monster, not the other way around ? =))

Odd, I thought given the title, the stank-eye would last longer before it started to grow. Kind of like the old evil eye lore of latter days. He would become a reviled and mistreated pariah due to his simple deformity and eventually unleash that hate and evil back on everyone else.

I’m pretty sure the next panel is Abe and doggy chowing down on a big Galen ham together.

Well, clearly the dog is being eaten… the only remaining question is: what part of the monster is doing the ingesting? I’ll leave your imaginations with THAT wonderful bit of macabre thought šŸ™‚

This feels a little off, the plant infected him with one sting, it also took eveything out of their wizard to kill it. Something that succesful should be WAY more plentiful than the one they found. I think the last seen will be an entire army of those man eating bushes.

Maybe it was something that was more plentiful up until the wizards union killed them off, or else it’s something new

Perhaps the monster is something new to this world – an alien from another world. Maybe it’s just not plentiful yet.

Abe is simply enjoying a late night leg of mutton with a dog on his lap.
Either that or he’s enjoying some leg of mutt

It could bery well be that the elixir had the opposite effect than intended, and just made the infection much worse. Abe did say this was something he hadn’t seen before, so chance encounter with a particularly rare nasty is what I’m guessing.

Yeah, I always wondered how potions know that they are supposed to heal the human and not the bacteria/virus/parasite.

I imagine it didn’t work because the potion was anti-poison but the sting didn’t contain poison as it wasn’t a method of defense but reproduction, it contained living cells.

A lot of smart people have made a lot of intelligent comments and predictions. I am just along for the ride and Mr. Walton is my chauffeur…. and he is driving 120mph through residential neighborhoods… running red lights… and I am just cringing and bracing myself.

well, seeing how much already “spillt over” his head/face I do not see how this could do anything but end badly.
And produce another page showing off the incredible ability of the artist to draw eldritch gruesomness.

Good News for People Who Like Bad News

01-18-24

Dear False Positive Readers,

This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.

You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
