Good News for People Who Like Bad News

Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Lo and behold! Fluffy turns out to be a bullfrog.

Uh… echolocation?
Definitely echolocation. She’s doomed.
Echolocation, I doubt. Too low pitched and loud. More likely this is a distress call, or perhaps a pickaxe through the back it considers foreplay and it is now signaling its intention to mate with the unconscious fellow.
(If this comic were 200 years later, I’m pretty sure the families would be video capping this for YouTube.)

That has to be the cutest little monster I have ever seen drawn.
If there was an award for the cutest monster I would have to agree that this is the winner. I wonder could we make a plushie out of him…
He is really damn cute. 🙂 I’d think if you could hand-raise and feed them they might make a fun pet, but then again people used to think that about chimpanzees and lions and I’ve known friends of friends (also called “idiots”) who died trying to raise them, so that may not be a good idea after all.
In the real world, a monster is simply a dangerous animal you’ve never seen before. Like an elephant in the tundra, or a polar bear in the savannah, or a dinosaur in the wrong era.
A lot depends on whether you can keep the creature more violent nature in check. It would take many generations of said animal to perfect docile behavior, and even then there is no guarantee that it would not have a sudden violent outburst, but in the case of Fluffy here… it would be hard. From what I can tell it lives in dark, subterranean locations, so it is automatically a poor pet, since I do not know anybody who would want to live in the dark, or underground. I suppose it could still act as a Pet, for miners, who might use them to carry heavy objects, or to act as guards… but yes, poor Fluffy would be hard to love 🙁

That pick has got to be causing at least some internal bleeding! Perhaps, it’s have a lung pierced?
