Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
So… does this mean the specimen is destroyed or released?
Always wipe your shoes.
You got a lil something on your shoe, there.
But it’s black and white so it must be fine.
Uh-oh.
This is the way the chapter ends
Not with a bang, but The Finger.
aaaahahahahaha life is not done fucking with you yet son
Yep. I figure that those pilots are under orders to napalm everything moving down there, considering the kind of alarm messages that got sent out.
And they both lived happily ever after.
That bit on his shoe disappeared in the 3rd panel. looks like a *Bad End* for the protagonist.
Ohhhh. Yeah, well-spotted. O_o
Not clever at all, Mr Brown. Giving a fighter pilot the finger……
And the reply from the nuke bearing fighter pilot was like, “no worries-your wish is my command.”
“Target locked… wait he’s giving us the finger…. abort!”
Will he get shot on sight? Will they collect him alive and ship him off for experiments? What has happend in Jburg? Questions questions questions and the worst part is, not half of them will be answered!
well, yeah – that was that.
But wait – first panel theres this specimen-textured smudge on his sole, last panel it aint….
Dun, dun Duhhhn……
Well spotted!
Request granted.
“Why don’t we just… wait here for a little while… see what happens?”
If we’ve got any surprises for eachother, I don’t think we’re in much shape to do anything about it.
Best comment.
How did that piece even get on his shoe? Has it been there the entire time? He was outside when the thing reached him.
He walked over the not-completly-burned parts.
Everyone below him also got a nice long look at his feet while he was opening the hatch.
Pg 32
It would be silly, if he literally is the reason why it was created. And he winds up being the only one not infected because some part of it thinks of him as “Daddy”
I agree.
Lol. What an ending.
The Tuurngait was quite correct, we humans are a dangerous, headless heard, but intelligent individuals. The members of this facilitysought to reveal and control the Tuurngait, and the Tuurngait turned to me for salvation. The hive ran its tests on me – and I jumped throught its hoops like the monkey it took me for.
hilariously awesome ending
A couple years back, Neill Blomkamp, writer and director of District 9, started making and releasing short films on the web. He did one which is utterly horrifying and very much in the spirit of Specimen and The Thing. Look up his studio, Oats Studios, on google and watch his short titled Zygote. Starring Dakota Fanning and with sfx second to none. It will be the best and scariest free-of-charge 20 minutes you’ll ever spend.
I love Zygote!
