Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Calling it now. The one who’s pod “popped first” f*cked with the ship to purposely crashed them on this planet. Probably for some reason to exploit her or something… Either that, or something dragged them in.
Nah, they’re definitely vampires who are secretly werewolves
I suspect they’re just a fraction of the whole crew, who they will soon discover.
…and then they were rescued and nothing that will keep me awake for several nights in a row happened. The End.
This is looking SO good.
Seeing as these are all macabre tales and none have had a happy ending so far, i’m betting they get eaten by aliens or that the first girl is already infected by an alien virus and eats the other one. lol XD
Oh man. I just realized that her name is Babe. I thought all this time that they were lovers and Kelly was calling the other girl “babe” with a lowercase ‘b’ as a term of endearment.
What made you change your mind?
I’d like to think it’s a term of endearment.
The second context in which it appears makes it seem more like it’s her name than a euphemistic appellation. Specifically, it’s inserted in places where a writer would likely put someone’s name for the audience. Like above, after one addresses the other as Kelly, the other addresses her as Babe. The reason we have fewer clues is the all-caps font.
I don’t have any problem with my original interpretation, though. My guy calls me “babe” all the time. It’s kinda cute. 🙂
