Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Their day just keeps getting worse and worse. I’m sure something ‘positive’ will happen to them soon, though.
I have a feeling the Bot knows much more about the current “state” of the planet than our two heroes. Or it’s simply malfunctioning.
Oh, I see where the story is going. J-5 is the Sentinel. They’re “infected” but all that really means is that they’ve come in contact with (most likely harmless) indigenous bacteria. They try to survive, but they keep worrying about their infection, and eventually try to break in to fix themselves – the sentinel ends up killing them is my guess.
Well, that would be my guess if False Positive has ever gone where I expected it to, and not once has my guess been correct.
I bet my ass that for the time the robot let them in they will be Both dead
OPEN THE POD BAY DOORS, HAL.
I’m sorry Dave, you’ve been fired. Your security clearance is no longer valid.
I’m sorry, but you may not come aboard this vessel. You have space cooties. Did I mention that in addition to having been fired, your company medical insurance has been cancelled?
I bet the 2 ladies are alien replicants of themselves. There will be an adventure full of emotional character exploration between the 2 ladies and a struggle to gain access to the ship. Once they beat down the sentry bot and get in… the ship will look like a warzone. The pair explore and find some life-pods. They clear the debris off and to their horror are staring down at themselves. They open the pods and reach out to touch their now rousing clone forms when all of a sudden something primal is triggered in them. Their faces them split apart into a huge mouth and the replicants savagely devour their human counterparts.
10/10 would give an award
hahaha… Jay Five has what looks like a Motorola logo on his side. *DROID!*
that looks like the star trek logo on the sentinel. not enough to break any copyrights, but still…
Oh.. I think their pod separating and being exposed to the indigenous environment was all to plan. They are guinea pigs as they are being watched to see what effects the environment have on them…hence why their suits are low on power… its intentional! The Robot… who reminds me of the Fantastic Four animated series – “Herbie”, their servant robot {from waaaay-back, showing my age}… is the Sentinel watching them to see how they survive. There is no one on board the rest of the ship.
My prediction: they aren’t human, but exposure to the gas turned them human and also prevented them from realizing the difference. So their crewmembers see them as horrific monsters.
…at least I’d pull something like that.
good thought, but in the last panel the bot states that one of them worked in the Human Resources Division 🙂
Time to work the robot’s logic circuits.
So they can not go in, now is the time to see if the robot can retrieve some supplies for them.
It’s not an answer, but it could buy some time.
robot is infected with bio-mechanical virus. bewm!
Just how smart is that robot’s AI?
Intrepid Oliveira: Let’s try to break in.
Jay-Five: Intruder alert! Attempt at unauthorized entry! You are under arrest. You will follow me to the detention cells.
Dont vorry, there’s alvayz a security by-pass…VEE HAFF VAYZ!!!
