Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
blood rites!
I know rite?
Speaking of rites, the Rite of Spring is 100 years old this year. Off topic, I know, but still cool.
Also: declaring flesh forfeit. O_O
Even more unnerving than the ritual itself (faithful – forgotten – forfeit makes my skin crawl for some reason) is the idea that spirits of the deceased exist in such a terrible state that they would desire to return to life – assuming that is what’s happening here.
Also, you guys need to quit with the bad puns rite now. It just isn’t rite.
He’s riting letters on her face!
I’ve enjoyed your site for some time. Really enjoy the format / art / stories. The styling reminds me of the Creep Show movies – a series of stand-alone stories gathered together in one place.
It would be interesting to get an anthology, written as opposed to drawn, because many times a story has more that what can be shown. 🙂
Also – a few stories scream for “fleshing out” (Concoction and Ache) and put in a script format. Perhaps Clive Barker would be interested 🙂 (may be a stretch, but you never know.. I just really like your writings)
Any how.. Keep up the great work @@
Oh, there are many more stories here that beg to be explored! Wayfarer and Detained, e.g., to name only two. The only story that is really finished, I think, is Constriction – though, who knows, might have just been a wormhole, hehehe.
I suspect it will all turn out puppies and rainbows in the end. It _always_ does!
You know, this method of getting a body isn’t exactly cricket.
Is it to bring back the dead, or to keep them out of the place down below? Or is it to break a curse
What if they possessed the body to make it display a movie with super natural powers. Afterwards everyone including the spirits watch and share the popcorn bowl. The end.
Ominous wording, blood rite, Spirits involved…
You know this can only be GOOD. ^^
Maybe Dad’s unfinished business is that he never lived his dream of being a stripper, and all of this is just pursuing that end.
