Good News for People Who Like Bad News

Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Well, that’s a nice view to wake up to…

You can’t just tease your readers with a face-antler stag and a face-tentacle abomination. They have to get together at some point.
The Ancient from Detained and Redeem. Did not see that one coming. Kudos to the reader who picked up the possible link to Redeem.
Not just “Detained” and “Redeemed” but possibly “Wanderer” as well.

Well, now you’ve just given the game away.
Detained came to mind first, but also Redeemed and Wanderer … and .. Stink-eye? A connecting thread of eldrich horror … or perhaps the comeuppance of same. Cue appreciative evil laugh, if the last is correct.

I don’t think they are the same entity. If you go back and check out the scenes from Detained and Redeem, you will see that the one in Redeem has a giant blue non-eye in the middle of its forehead. This one and the one in Detained do not have that feature, but they both have the same pattern of eyes on their forehead, so they look to be the same.
You might be right. They could be two members of the same species. Specifically, I think based on the tentacles covered with eyes and mouths, this is a ‘Garmorm’ from the dungeons and dragons planescapes monsterous manual. They feed on the minds of sentient beings, absorbing their knowledge, intelligence, and magic abilities. For each mind absorbed, the Garmorm grows larger and gets another face on its tentacles. These must be very old and powerful specimens.
Wou, you seem to be right, the same exact eye-pattern. I would like to think that maybe something might happen here that would change this guy into his Redeem form tho.
