Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
My god, the art on this thing just keeps getting better and better! Bravo!
Well hell… THIS won’t end well…lol!
Uh oh.
Awesome and disorienting
Scary. Scary, indeed.
Again, this is a flashback? How the hell did the narrator make it out of something like this with only a black eye? Maybe he DIDN’T! dun Dun DUN!
Also, this image is fairly terrifying. It seems to suggest that only a shred of perception and impulse were left as a result of the experience.
I’m reminded strongly of images of the inside of eyes.

(Found this comic from a comment on Unsounded. I really like the several short stories format- with the content it reminds me of the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. Great stuff.)
So far this story reminds me of a Wendigo. I wonder how the sleuth is able to escape, or is he?
(And I love your stories and your style.)
Beautiful pannel, I love it!
Favourite story from season 2 so far, without any doubt 🙂
Oof, didn’t expect that. Looks great. And creepy.
Found this site a few months ago, and I gotta say the art has definitely been taken up a notch since season 1! Awesome!
Holy crap, I love this art.
Any chance you have a captionless version of this panel for wallpaper purposes?
Seconding the hell out of that.
Yes. Check out the the Wallpapers.
Yeesh, getting possessed via eye contact? Terrifying. D:
Also gotta say this story is among my favourites so far, the art, pacing, style, just love everything about it.
Any chance we can get this page as a desktop without text? Absolutely stunning.
Thanks. Now available as a desktop wallpaper.
That iris is creepily inhuman and the sheen on the cornea is perfect.
There are no words to describe how beautiful this is. I’ve always been fascinated with eyes and how they’re stylized in art, and although this page terrifies me, I find it so incredibly artistic I would gladly stare at it until my soul was sucked out too. I applaud you on your work, sir. Very, *very* well done!
Thanks everybody for the kind words about the art. I had a few different takes on this page. I’m glad I went with this concept.
The blood vessels (tendrils?) are almost 3D, they’re so well rendered. And that EYE; I just called my husband over from what he was doing to look at how awesome this page looks (he concurred).
This looks to me to be similar to one frame of animation in the game Doom 3, when the Doom Guy uses a portal…
Very…vicseral.
