Good News for People Who Like Bad News

Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.

Oh fork yes, this is a BRILLIANT shot, really really well done; makes me wanna scream for how perfectly it closes the whole thing.
This is exactly what only a comic can do: one picture, coming after a lot of other pictures, and now we have all the time we want to take in the details of the whole story, and the action, every movement, is still going on as we look. And no soundtrack could possibly do it justice, the huge bloody mess that you’ve set up in our heads fills that space up, and not only the space that music or sound would use. I have to stop writing because this is begining to stir up associations of proustian proportions in my mind.
I have to say this wasn’t my favorite story so far, but THIS is just a new level of mastery from you, Mr Walton.

Her facial expression somehow reminds me of a rage-blinded ape.
Also I like how now the creepy shadow we’ve seen before brought some friends… and they seem like they’re watching a reality show.

Jeez! There’s more than one??? This was never gonna end well, but now it’s getting uglier by the second. Looks like it’s going to be a plague. Good job breaking it, Mr. Hammet. Literally.

…and here I thought it was HER heart being shown in the title. Love the peanut gallery taking in the show.

Wow!! What is going on with the creepy shadow demons? Are they waiting to take turns? I love it. I wasn’t expecting this “feel good” twist.
So…
anyone else wondering who’d win in a fight between these shadow things and the ghost horde from Seance?
Oh boy.. I do so love a forceful woman! Didn’t take her long to “straddle” her prey… and obviously.. her idea of ‘rough-sex’ is REALLY ROUGH! I wonder if that’s the first strike of that lamp base off Mr. Hammet’s head? Who says sex is not a spectator sport!

Judging by the gore on the lamp base, she’s pulling back for a second swing.
I love the way this whole panel looks, it’s so creepy and fascinating.
I actually imagine the shadows are hiding behind the furniture and saying, “Uh, guys? You can stop now, you are creeping us out… seriously… stop…”
I love that this is a gif, I thought my eyes where playing tricks! Very cool.
Yeah, only noticed when I went to go examine it again; subtle, yet very effective use of the filter on the picture to approximate the old film style. I like it 😀
This somehow reminds me of the Shadow People in Johny Dies at the End (although those have a different modus operandi, at least apparently).

OH MY GOSH, THE STATIC EFFECT!!!
My husband and I were both blown away by just how incredible this frame is, between the violent fight, the shadow critters, and that subtle-but-perfect static effect. You have definitely upped your game, Sir. Well done!
Also, this would make great wallpaper as well. 🙂
