Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Cue Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man.’ Roll Credits.
The caption says “Elton John–Rocket Man” but the use of the NASA clips says “David Bowie–Space Oddity.”
Your comment reminded me – Machinae Supremacy’s “Rocket Dragon” fits nicely.
I want FP in hardback and I want it now. Kickstarter this shit! 🙂
I agree!! Kickstart a book!
Big Mike just answered a Patreon comment I made on the last page. He says he might try Patreon for S3. How’s that idea guys?
I’d be in no matter what crowdsourcing path he took.
You’ve created a wonderfully unpredictable and unusual universe the last couple of years. You don’t go overboard with exposition or use great art as an excuse to skimp on storytelling. Some of the stories leave me wondering why something happened, but there’s never a doubt what happened. It’s a perfect balance of visuals, concepts, story length, and tone, snapshots of a world we’d hate to inhabit but can’t stay away from. Whatever happens behind the scenes to interfere, thank you for putting so much work into such an entertaining project and sharing it with us.
I completely. Each story is an excellent work by itself in every aspect. I wonder if as the series goes on we will see some more connections between them as happened with the the one that has just finished an the other one that features the same eldritch abomination of a god.
Thanks to the author for this excellent work.
so, raise a man from the dead and feed him to your “squiddy” master? Seems fair lol
I would pay so much money for a stuffed Wayfarer plush you have no idea. It has so many soft and cuddly marvels to show you.
Now I want one too. Do this Mike!
Bravo!
Seriously, you need to have a graphic novel, your art is effing amazing. Also I agree with the plushie thing.
And if you sell a comic book don’t, give the possibilty of the other country to buy it 🙂
Hey! Why???
Thank you, Mike.
Thanks for the outpouring of support. I’ve had fun sharing this season’s batch of stories.
I’ve had woefully underdeveloped plans to do a Kickstarter book for a few years. I keep planning to do it and then I keep pushing it out. The sad reality is other things pop up and take priority over running an untested Kickstarter campaign. It’s still on my radar but it would be a little way off down the road.
I wouldn’t know where to begin with fabrication of a plushie.
Cheers!
This series is starting to remind me of Nightmare World, and I mean that in the best possible way.
