Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mikeās sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed itās been a couple years since weāve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update Iāll ever share.
No way the kid got eaten. That’s just too obvious and insufficiently horrific. The chapter’s going to end on this cliffhanger, isn’t it?
There is a tendency in horror (not saying here, just in general) to avoid hurting children. My best guess is that’s too painful for parents to endure or something, or maybe in popular media conservatives would simply have a fit over it. It’s probably a combination of both. I’d expect that to loosen somewhat over the next generation, but probably not until the current backlash has passed.
As a parent I agree with you. I effectively stopped watching some vampire movie after a baby gets killed by a vampire in the first 5 minutes, if freaking hurt internally to hear the scene (they had the courtesy not to show the deed).
Very curious about this ending though, I fear that the kid will be used to revive the big guy’s pet.
And so the fugly baby became the next fugly monster baby.
And it’s heart grew three sizes that day.
I’m going to guess “literally”.
“You killed my baby, imma take yours”
Never can keep up with Mike’s twists and turns.
That’s why I love these stories. If it was predictable, it wouldn’t be nearly as entertaining.
Hmmmm… new rhino-dog in training? Or a snack?
That kid has a lot of clothes. This is from that weird time in history when you can’t tell whether a kid is a boy or a girl until they’re like five years old. Then again, that’s probably a lot more normal than gender-typing them in the womb like we do today.
Either way, God seems to have pacified the little one something fierce!
i’m just sooooo curious of how the bottom part of the monster looks like.
The things you gotta do to get a babysitter these days!
Was I the only one with ‘The Circle of Life’ running through my head for panels 1 & 3? š
Probably, but not anymore.
Hm. That one lived. Is the kid an offering?
