Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
feces hitting the fan
“Eh. Big monster. Well it is not interested in me so might as well plonk another arrow down the skull of this other lady.”
Human hands AND eyes! And the natives are pretty chill, not fleeing or aiming their bows at it. I bet you so much this is the former mine owner! (Not betting anything important though, considering which comic this is)
Ok, so now all we need is a magical coyote god and our party will be complete!
It strikes me that the native Indians are remarkably unconcerned with the gigantic gribbly that just erupted from the ground.
So is that what totem poles are about?
Fantastic last panel.

It must be their “god” or something
Most north american aboriginal people did not have gods. They believed in certain mysteries, or spirits, or beings, and because european people had concepts of gods, and couldn’t imagine anyone else thinking differently, they didn’t get it.
The people here had power beings, and sky people, and other critters that were different, but I really don’t think there was often a concept that really equates to what westerners think of as gods.
Now, south american aboriginal people had gods. Never thought that was a good idea. Didn’t seem to make them very happy, in the long run.
Or their well liked neighbor. You won’t belief what kind of barbeque parties a six handed unholy abomination can throw.
They killed the big guys Horny Pet Super Rhino ™. I’d be pissed too, those things are expensive.
Bonus points for anyone that gets that reference.
The kid will be the last survivor, and then it’ll be remade into another monster doggy to serve its master forever. The end.
The thing I love about this comic is that with each new page, there’s people going ‘Well, I reckon this has happened cos of (this theory or other), but given that this is False Positive, I bet I’m wrong!’. It goes to show, on two levels, how awesome your ideas are. Even ignoring the wonderful art, you engage us readers enough to make us want to guess, but are still surprising enough to stump us. Awesome!
Well at least if they shoot her.. not horrible breeding with some eldritch horror will be possible.. a clean death is preferable! After all we already know she’s the ‘fertile’ one!
Those hands. Human hands. Is that how little beastie is going to look when he’s all grown up? And, oh no! The mother and her baby is going to die next. 🙁
