Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Hmmm.. some rough riding in the future…
Three of the Four Horsemen?
“And I heard as it were the noise of thunder
One of the four beasts saying come and see and I saw
And behold a white horse…”
…
“There’s a man going around taking names..”
“And he decides who to free and who to blame.”
“Everybody won’t be treated all the same,
There’ll be a golden ladder reaching down…
When the Man comes around.”
From apparent lack of stirrups, I’m guessing Native Americans. Perhaps they were aware of the demons and have come to watch the show.
and bare feet, too
yes i thought the same
Uhmm.. have I missed something? When’s the next scene?
They’re being watched by centaurs with feet for hands?!?
…man. This comic just keeps getting weirder.
I tried to google native american underworld gods and demons. Didn’t find much and it just made me really upset on wikipedia for being so colonial (=a lot of info on white man crap, like justin bieber, but yeah, barely NOTHING on all the tribes religions all together)
Given the prevalence of human sacrifice and cannibalism in the non-shamanistic Native American religions, the absence of inclusion is a desire to make native religions look better than they were/are. Shamanism, on the other hand has some scary stuff too (see Wendigo and cannibalism or search for ghost stories).
men on horses in the middle of nowhere … not a good sign
