Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
Nice one, can’t wait to see how this ends!
I think she’s greek goddess, concluding from the last word in this page “hubris”.
The last frame makes me think “Oh crap!”
Interesting. Sounds like you’ve tapped into some Wiccan concepts (“gods” being vessels that the followers “store” their energy in, thus making the “god” powerful).
Glowing blue eyes… Remind anyone of a certain shape-changing coyote?
Who could ol’ blue eyes be? With all the Greek myth references, maybe a Greek God. Nemesis or Hecate maybe? Irregardless, it’s a great tale so far!
The ice-blue eyes in the last pannel make me think “Wayfairer” so who can guess where this might go?
Or maybe it’s the same kind of entity from ‘Wayfarer’, what with the similar blue accent….
The interviewer’s face and arrogance remind me of Oprah.
I don’t think so, I think it is different than the coyote persona…Coyote is an American Indian figure.
By mentioning Tartarus…mew, and hubris…Greek or Roman or maybe even middle eastern mythos.
Maybe the blue eyes are just Quasilucid’s way of conveying that the person has great power…i reckon it’s not the wayfarer entity, but…..i haven’t guessed any of these so far!!
Remember that Wayfarer was the most voted for “Story Expansion.” I think you guys might be on the right track.
I have this feeling that while SHE might not be all that powerful, she MIGHT
just might have a much much more powerful husband. (I’m thinking Zeus or maybe Hades) If it’s Persephone then it would explain why she’d be caught, if it’s winter (or the last day of autumn) she would be weaker, and her husband would be very very irritable to find that someone has taken his wife
Also the fact that they’re mistaking a lack of disciples for weakness. Names have power, and as long as we keep naming things after them and building statues and making artwork featuring them, as well as keeping the stories of them in circulation makes them powerful. (at least according to the modern mythos)
Ohh! I’d LOVE if she was one of the furies!

And I don’t think it’s a follow up on wayfarer, because there’s nothing blue on her until the eyes changes
I think “to” is missing in the second panel : “You don’t appear TO be […]”.
Are there any “real” gods, by the definition these people used? Because whatever this thing is doesn’t really match.
I forgot to click the thing that lets my know about replies.
I’m getting a bit of a vibe from The Case of Charles Dexter Ward here; “Do Not Call Up That Which You Cannot Put Down.”
Or the SCP Foundation.
