Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mike’s sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed it’s been a couple years since we’ve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update I’ll ever share.
that last one seems undone, but I guess that’s kind of the point of a few of your comics now that I think about it
they all seem done to me. beginning+ middle+ end
begining- meet characters
middle- characters have problem
end- problem resolved
what? there was no resolution wtf happened? i really wanna know where this was going?
This is the resolution. “And then what you didn’t expect to happen, happened.” If it helps, imagine the words:
[Cue laugh track.]
written on the previous page.
The “Cue laugh track” comment cracked me up. I suspect I’ll now imagine it at the end of each story, but that’s o.k.
I think some people are surprised they reached the end of the story is because usually, you can check the tracking or count the pages left to be read and prepare yourself, but with these comics, you have no way of knowing when you reached the end until you hit that inbetween page.
I think this was a completed story about a murderer cleaning up before what turned out to be his kids coming home. The resolution was he got things mostly cleaned up and his family came home.
I don’t need to know why the man was killed. I didn’t need a laugh track because I found it inherently amusing the wife was in on it and added to his frustration by giving him shit. I was engaged because the story didn’t patronize me or spoon feed overexplanation. I like the fact some details are often left open for interpretation, letting my brain do some of the work.
Thanks for the creativity and the effort of giving me free comic entertainment.
Well said, Sir/Madam.
couldnt have said it better myself!
I really love these comics, really hope you’ll sell these in actual comic form one day, or maybe even do weird animations.. I love these they are amazing..
