Dear False Positive Readers,
This is Ashley Walton, Mikeās sister and editor of False Positive. I have really terrible, awful news and a tiny bit of good news.
You might have noticed itās been a couple years since weāve posted anything on this website. Well, brace yourself for the saddest update Iāll ever share.
Love the coloring on the hair. Though i miss mike’s own hard pencil strokes.
The change of the artist is really refreshing. Even though I prefer Mikes’ style of drawing a bit better…
I think this art is pretty cool. Very fluid.
Thanks much guys š It really is a fun collaboration with Mike, and I can’t thank him enough for letting me play with him in his creepy, dark world. Interestingly – I think Mike’s work thus far has been entirely digital for FP, while this is a mix of traditonal/digital. I did my best to keep the treatment Mike’s established consistent. Glad to see you’re enjoying it so far!
Dan’s right, I’ve been creating the False Positive art 100% digitally. Dan’s created these pages using old-school real world tools & techniques in combination with digital equipment. His stuff is legit.
I love how his art turned out and you guys will see how wonderfully suited Dan’s style is for pulling off this crazy story.
this chapter has the familiar monochrome look that makes it fit in the FP universe but it clearly has a separate slick style. it’s interesting to see how another artist will interpret one of these stories.
I believe he is really good with the light.
But knowing mike’s plots, i’m a little worried about this young fellows.
Loving the new chapter. I do miss Mike’s organic scribbly highlighting style, but artwork overall is stunning, per False Positive style. Looking forward to where this goes. Nowhere good, I hope! š
This reminds me of the joke about spotting an anime’s main character by the hair color. XD The artwork is beautiful, though. I miss the usual style, but this is an acceptable change for a bit. š
