Did I miss the mark on some of these?
I think to this day Jurassic Park is one of the best movies I’ve seen, everything on it still stands IMO – acting, writing, character arcs, fx, camerawork, soundtrack, everything.
I watched it on the theatre may times, with every grown-up relative I could get to take me. I then had a VHS in a nice stone-looking plastic box with beveled logo and a fossil, I watched it until it was ruined. As a grown-up I’ve watched it with my young brother-in-law, later with my nephew, and they had a blast. Now I have younger nephews and can’t wait for them to be the proper age to watch it with me.
(that, and The Thing is one of my Christmas Movies along with Die Hard <3)
That’s a cool legacy to share and it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen, too.
Steven Spielberg is a master of the cinematic craft—a master storyteller—and he made Jurassic Park at the height of his game.
And Die Hard is pretty excellent, too.
