I saw the commercial for it and just assumed it was another government/aliens kidnaps kid(s), experiments on kid(s), gives kid(s) powers type story and dismissed it. I’ve seen enough of those.
Is it one of those?
Yeah, who needs it? Stories that fall into that sub-genre, are all the same, just a rehash of the same thing over and over. Dreamscape. Akira, Firsestarter, Flight of the Navigator, Firefly/ Serenity. If you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. AMIRITE?
I watched it and it was the most cliched and tropey thing I’ve ever seen.
No storytelling gold.
Emanon, bruh are you serious?!?! Eleven and the others are AMAZING, and yes, it does contain some cliches and tropes, but that’s just what comes with every fandom. Make Eggos, not war ❤️☮
I loved this show and can’t wait for season 2 (fingers crossed). They just about did everything right.
