I really love these books and I love your interpretation here. The rumpled look really fits with the descriptions. The wings are counter to the what is described in the books but I think is acceptable artistic license, since otherwise it would just be a guy with a car.
Wow. I only realized just now that this is Castiel from the tv show supernatural. I had assumed it was Castiel from the Tad Williams books who dresses like a private eye, drives and old car and has a girlfriend named Kaz that he drug out of hell.
