Big Mike’s 2 Cents: Best Films of 2011
I heart movies.
Frustrated after watching hi-lights of the Golden Globes and reading some critics’ lists, I decided to author my own list. Overall, 2011 was not a very prolific year for great movies, but there were a several gems. Reviews and synopses for all of these films are readily available; I’m just offering my recommendation. The films I most enjoyed this last year:

Tree of Life
Green Lantern
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
119 Minutes of my life I want back:

I didn’t see every movie that came out last year, but I did see most of them. Did I miss a major contender? How does my list compare to yours?
10. Rise of The Planet of the Apes
9. X-Men: First Class
8. 13 Assassins
7. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
6. Tree of Life
5. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
4. The Artist
3. Hugo
2. Attack The Block
1. Drive
Drive was certainly the best of the year! FUCK the Artist.
Yes! Other people that loved Drive.
Nothing else was really memorable.
Hear hear!
