Fundamental Re-Mixed
Fundamental wasn’t really meant to say anything about monotheism, polytheism, deism, atheism, or agnosticism. If you aren’t sick enough of this story, learn more and read a slightly alternate version of the 25th chapter of False Positive on Patreon… if you’re a patron.
Cheers!
Paywall, huh? You tease…
We all have our faults.
That’s not your fault. (So to speak.)
It’s -clearly- that Starbucks still exists in a distant future where people build sexbots on whims. THE HORROR.
It was clear to me once the discussion grew trite (almost immediately) that the story had nothing to do with religion in particular. Certainly at the end of the story the message was clear (and the point behind the interplay in faith and control was well-underscored, and for my read, very clever).
This reminds me of a review of The Happening I read recently. Somepony was reviewing it in retrospect and pointed out that it was probably intended to be a *psychological* horror film: the horror has nothing to do with fear of plants or all the violence, but with the idea of whether or not our choices are truly our own from the perspective of someone of faith (Shymalan).
I think readers should trust where you’re headed by now, at any rate.
This is why they should make coin-operated boyfriends. Not only is silence golden, it’s cheaper!
